What Your Support Helps With
I'm an individual creator, not a non-profit organization. But everything I do is aimed at making tech and programming more inclusive and accessible. Your support helps me dedicate more time and resources to:
- Keeping all courses and resources free — No paywalls, no premium tiers, just freely accessible education
- Covering platform and hosting costs — Domain fees, website hosting, course delivery infrastructure
- Creating new content — Blog posts, tutorials, video content, and educational resources
- Maintaining and updating existing materials — Keeping courses current with evolving technology and best practices
- Supporting the FIRST Robotics community — Programming guides, strategy analysis, and mentorship resources
- Time investment — Hours spent writing, coding, responding to questions, and improving content
Why I Do This
Tech changed my life. Programming gave me a career I love, opportunities I never imagined, and the ability to build things that matter. I volunteer with FIRST Robotics because I believe in pulling up chairs for others, not pulling up ladders behind me.
Everything I create—the blog posts about career transitions, the programming tutorials, the honest conversations about navigating tech—comes from wanting to make this field more accessible to people who might not have the traditional pathways, connections, or resources.
I'm financially stable enough to do this work, but support from the community helps me justify spending more time creating free resources instead of taking on additional paid work.
No Obligations, No Expectations
Whether you support financially or not, you're equally valued here. Seriously. The student learning to code from their bedroom has the same access to resources as everyone else. That's the whole point.
If you can't support financially but want to help in other ways, sharing content with someone who might find it useful, engaging with posts, or simply using and benefiting from the resources means everything.
Full Transparency
I believe in being real about the realities of content creation. Here's the honest breakdown:
- Writing a comprehensive blog post: 3-6 hours
- Creating and maintaining a full course: 40+ hours
- Website hosting and domain: $450+/year
- Course delivery infrastructure: time spent building custom solutions to avoid recurring costs
- Responding to questions and providing support: ongoing
Any support goes directly toward covering these costs and, more importantly, allowing me to dedicate more time to creating free, high-quality resources.
Other Ways to Support
Financial support isn't the only way to help this mission:
- Share content with someone who might find it useful
- Connect on social media — LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok
- Provide feedback on what's helpful and what could be better
- Engage with the content — comments, questions, and discussions make this work meaningful
- Use the resources to learn, grow, and then help others do the same
Thank you for being part of this community, whether you're here to learn, to share, to support, or just to lurk quietly (hey, I see you, and you're welcome here too).
Let's keep making tech more accessible, one resource at a time.
